Bit of a departure

My singer friend Brian asked me to do art work for his latest video. It was a real honour to do this as I know this song is very personal to him you can check it out here. As some of you already know I do art on a daily basis for my mental health and post it on Social Media. #artformentalhealth. Brian asked if I would keep the same vibe to the pictures – pressure.

It’s not really my place to tell all of the story to this song, but it involves him and his beautiful daughter Kirsty and finding solace in the beauty of nature.

Knowing how much this song meant to Brian did put a bit of pressure on me. Was my art to frivolous for the subject? Was it good enough? It took a lot to clear my mind, not worry about labels like good or bad. Brian was very pleased with the results.

Let me know what you think of the song and what you think of my art.

  1. David! This is wonderful! I love the video. Your art is stunning. The little broken heart and how it transforms. The beautiful pictures of the sea and beach. The watercolours give each image such movement and emotion! It’s a triumph. The song is really good too. 😊

Congratulations! I love your art and your daily drawing has been a huge inspiration. I hope more people will get to see your beautiful work. 💖
