The succubus stood by the window shining in the moonlight, smiling at me, encouraging me with open arms. Tiny beating wings, sharp teeth tipped red with blood. She turned in the moonlight. Eye-spotted wings stared at me, hypnotic. Wings beat faster than the beat of my heart. Rustling wings ever harder, little vortexes of wind. She hovered over me. Out into the moonlight she passed, evading my net. I pushed my head out the window and watched as she flew upwards and upwards towards the full moon in a shimmering cloud of moths. She left only iridescent scales behind.
